Growing up in Westchester County, New York, Garrin has been making music all of his life. The youngest of nine, Garrin was exposed to many different musical genres during his formative years. One group in particular would become an essential part of his musical education beginning when he was given the Beatles' Second Album. As well, Bob Dylan and CSNY have informed his songwriting. More recently, Garrin's music has been inspired by the sounds of David Gray, Gillian Welch and Radiohead. On stage, Garrin is always on the vanguard of finding new spaces in his music. An intuitive performer, he has the sensitivity to understand a room and play a song in a unique way each night.
