Exit Eleven was formed in late 2001 by guitarist Mike Casciano and drummer Phil Altieri. Having grown up together in central New Jersey, and played in various bands throughout their time at Rutgers University, the ambitious duo set out to find a singer that could match their passion for songwriting and give their music a voice. Pittsburgh singer/songwriter Scott Cook answered their ad and within their first session the band had nearly completed its first song, "Walk Away." Armed with a one acoustic / one electric guitar sound, creative drumming, and melodic bass lines, Exit Eleven has shared its music with audiences from Hoboken to the Jersey Shore. With age and experience the band has honed its straight ahead pop set to satisfy a range of tastes, from acoustic singer/songwriter tracks to pop rock anthems complete with electric guitar crunch. As Exit Eleven continues to evolve, their motivation remains the same -- to have fun playing music.
