A New Jersey native living in Los Angeles, Joe "HUTCH" Hutchinson writes songs that document the human experience in a way that appeals to the everyperson. His ability to weave universal themes into his music has caught the ears of fans everywhere, including the folks at Budweiser, The Food Network, and legendary rocker Sammy Hagar, whom contacted Joe to co-write the title track to the latest Hagar release, "Not 4 Sale."
With influences ranging from Classic Rock & 60's Brit-Pop to the Blues, Roots and Folk, Joe Hutchinson is a prolific, self taught Singer/Songwriter who learned his craft from artists like Pete Townshend, Paul Westerberg, John Lennon, Ray Davies, and Paul Simon.
HUTCH is at home performing intimate coffeehouse settings acoustically on guitar and piano, or delivering explosive full-wattage arena rock type shows with his bandmates. It's this type of versatility that keeps his music interesting and captures the attention of listeners who, like him, constantly flip the car stereo dial back and forth between classic rock, college radio and alternative stations in search of something genuine and new.
A descendant of his once controversial ancestors, The Hutchinson Family Singers, (whom were famous during the mid 19th century for supporting many humanitarian efforts, including women's rights, temperance and abolition), Joe is committed to continuing the work of his family, and hopes to deliver an honest, positive message that will remain relevant for years to come.
(Joe is a Green Party member, Anti-GMO & Environmentalist, Mostly Vegetarian, and an active Wiccan supporting Renewable Resources, Alternative Energy, Organic Farming, Religious Freedom, Native American Heritage, and Historical Preservation.)

The first 5 songs were released between 1999 - 2000 as an EP simply entitled HUTCH, Joe Hutchinson's first solo release after a 6 year run with sibling based trio, The Hutchinsons. The EP's original liner notes appear on the inside cover. (Please refer to back cover for current contact information).

Tracks 12 & 13:
One year after his attention-catching appearance on the Food Network's FOOD NATION series with Chef Bobby Flay, HUTCH was asked to contribute some patriotic music for a special Memorial Day episode.
These patriotic anthems were chosen and adapted by Joe, then recorded live as a simple power-trio with his "Turn It Around" (Smile Records) line-up featuring Thom Sullivan (drums) and Glenn Hays (bass). The verse lyrics for When Johnny Comes Marching Home were written by Joe Hutchinson. (Co-Produced by - Steve Refling).
