I am obsessed with electronic dance music, it really got going when i started going to house and hardcore events in the early 90's with the Double Vision Crew whom produced music videos of events and electronic artists, Paul, the main man of Double Vision would ask me to come and give him a hand lugging video equipment around setting up cameras, meeting the crews, getting backstage etc. Later on when the hardcore events seem to die down, i was giving the opportunity to work abroad, but it was a catch 22, I had applied to join the Royal Navy as a trainee radio operator the year before and they just got back to me at the same time as my invite to work in the canary islands, I went to work in the canaries and im glad i did not join the navy with all the conflicts that have been going on the past ten years. On arrival to the canary isles i started training in timeshare promotion, i know what your thinking now but this resort i worked for DOES exist, it IS beautiful and DOES have a lot of happy customers, i also did PR for bars around Puerto Rico including Penelope's, Space, Jokers, St Patrick's Bar, Whiskey T's, Linekers Bar and others. i enjoyed working there but the party lifestyle was too appealing, the beach parties, the hill parties, house parties in workmates apartments, and on top of all that the nightlife right around the south coast of Gran Canaria, This changed my outlook on dance music, now it was all about blissful house beats at sunset then energising progressive house and trance throughout the night. My interest in dance music went from the harder style to more mellowed out blissful beats and electro wonder. I got a pair of cd decks and a mixer for my birthday a few years later, this was my chance to express myself by throwing out those chunky beats, took a while to get used to them, i have had a go of cd decks when I was in the Canaries but now i had my own i was addicted and spent more less every spare penny i had on new CD's to mix with. A few years later I got my first pc, I did do computing studies at school but they were the days of Comal which i was too impatient to learn, so i lost interest in computing, a pc loaded with windows however was much easier to use and it was then that my interest in computing was reborn, so much that i started studying computer engineering so i could upgrade my own machine and keep it in tip top condition for music, i was thinking of things like connecting my decks to the PC to record digital mixes of my djing but then i thought, hey what about making my own tunes rather than spinning other peoples, i started the hunt for the software to make my own music, the tracks you are listening to were made using a combination of the software listed above, I spent years listening to all kinds of dance music, now I have the chance to make my own and I'm loving every minute of it.
