Lauricia could sing before talking. Her first words came out as music and since then she has felt the most comfortable living a life filled with song. Her parents helped in the making of this lifelong desire. Her mother was a guitar teacher who wrote her own songs and her father was involved in music everywhere he went. He was the kind of singer who got standing ovations and encores with his Elvis-like voice. Since as long as she can remember, her father persistently took her to places where she could have the best chances to sing & hear music; shopping malls, churches, concerts, fairs...just about any place where people and music met. During her early schooling years, Lauricia became fascinated with the violin. She took that up when she was about 7 years old and fervently learned how to play it. She learned techniques beyond her years merely by watching the pros on television and when going to school to show her teacher, she had been taken out of her practice group and was asked to perform solo in every classroom. Her performance highlights have been singing for Dreams Come True, being featured on live television at The Great Allentown Fair, having a televised interview by Kim Bell on a local television program called Coffee Break, winning a trip to Disney world in a major singing competition, and being involved in various charity shows for underprivileged people. Lauricia wrote songs, short stories and poems since she was about 10 years old. This developed into a fine-tuned songwriting ability by the time she was in her late teens. To this day, she has written over 100 songs in multiple different languages and she continues to write more. Her love of languages and different cultures led her to travel and find her place living among The Finns. While in Finland, Lauricia met and collaborated with some Finnish musicians & songwriters. She made an experimental single entitled 'Stand By You'. As far as Lauricia's songs, she strives for her music to be positive yet something people can easily relate to. 'I am touched when someone uses the words of one of my songs and tells me that this is exactly what they went through or felt at one point.' Her soft, elegant voice flows very smoothly into the ears and doesn't stop there but continues yet to the heart, filling it with emotion. As she sings, she takes you on a musical journey with descriptive lyrics and just enough power in the right places to emphasize the feelings she is singing about. For Lauricia's upcoming album, she has already let her fans hear & review some of the songs that are going to be on the album. 'I was amazed with how much they enjoyed my music and that has been my inspiration & motivation for so strongly wanting to create this album.' The new album, which will be entitled 'Spanish Tendencies' will feature a lot of surprises including a song she wrote about her transition to Finland from The USA and even a song in Spanish about Almería, Spain! The full 12-song album will be released summer 2007. Then, Lauricia is planning to tour North America & Europe in the summer & autumn 2007. Another new album will soon follow.
